Role Overview
A rapidly expanding digital financial services ecosystem in Dubai is seeking a highly experienced Senior Fintech Resolution & Dispute Management Specialist to lead complex payment investigations, transaction dispute resolution, merchant reconciliation oversight, and financial complaint management across high-volume digital payment channels.
This position is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in payment operations, chargeback management, card scheme dispute handling, failed transaction resolution, fraud escalation coordination, and customer financial protection processes across fintech infrastructure.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring transaction integrity, customer trust, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across wallets, virtual cards, POS acquiring systems, remittance platforms, and embedded finance services.
You will collaborate across operations, compliance, fraud prevention, merchant success, legal, product, and customer support teams to create efficient resolution frameworks that protect both institutional and customer interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end payment dispute investigations including card chargebacks, failed transfers, duplicate debits, unauthorized transactions, and settlement discrepancies
- Manage transaction exception handling across digital wallets, payment gateways, remittance systems, and merchant acquiring platforms
- Oversee merchant dispute management and reconciliation escalations involving refunds, settlements, delayed credits, and payment reversals
- Handle escalated customer financial complaints requiring regulatory-grade investigation and documentation
- Coordinate with acquiring banks, card schemes, payment processors, and settlement partners to resolve complex operational disputes
- Develop root cause analysis reports for recurring resolution failures and recommend systemic improvements
- Improve dispute turnaround times and service-level compliance across customer resolution functions
- Support fraud operations teams with suspicious transaction investigations and financial recovery processes
- Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, payment scheme requirements, and internal risk frameworks
- Build operational dashboards for resolution tracking, exception monitoring, and executive reporting
- Strengthen complaint handling policies for high-risk and high-value financial incidents
- Collaborate with technology teams to improve automated exception handling and workflow optimization
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in fintech operations, transaction resolution, payment investigations, dispute management, or financial complaint handling
- Strong understanding of chargebacks, card operations, merchant settlements, and reconciliation controls
- Experience working with payment gateways, wallet systems, remittance infrastructure, and acquiring operations
- Knowledge of Visa/Mastercard dispute flows, transaction lifecycle management, and payment scheme regulations
- Familiarity with fraud escalation procedures and suspicious transaction investigations
- Strong analytical skills with excellent documentation and reporting abilities
- Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination capabilities
- High attention to detail and strong risk awareness
- Professional certifications in payments, compliance, fraud management, or operations are advantageous
