Role Overview

A rapidly growing digital finance ecosystem in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Senior Fintech Python Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-grade backend systems powering modern payment platforms, merchant settlements, digital wallets, API banking integrations, and financial automation services.

This role is tailored for professionals who understand that fintech software development is not simply about writing backend code—it is about building secure, highly available, and compliance-driven financial systems where performance, trust, and operational resilience are critical.

The successful candidate will work on sophisticated financial platforms that handle transaction routing, payment orchestration, treasury workflows, refund automation, merchant acquiring systems, reconciliation engines, and customer financial operations across high-volume environments.

You will collaborate closely with platform architects, DevOps engineers, fraud analysts, compliance teams, risk specialists, and product leaders to deliver mission-critical infrastructure that supports seamless money movement across the region.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based backend services for digital payments and fintech operations
• Build secure APIs for wallets, payment gateways, merchant acquiring systems, and banking integrations
• Develop transaction orchestration systems for settlements, refunds, payment routing, and reconciliation processes
• Create workflow automation tools for treasury operations, dispute handling, and operational exception management
• Improve system performance, low-latency transaction processing, and platform reliability across financial services
• Integrate fraud monitoring tools, compliance engines, and suspicious transaction reporting frameworks
• Support infrastructure modernization through containerization, deployment automation, and CI/CD improvements
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve monitoring, observability, and cloud deployment resilience
• Strengthen financial auditability through detailed logging, reporting systems, and transaction traceability
• Participate in code reviews, mentoring, and engineering governance initiatives
• Troubleshoot production incidents and improve platform recovery strategies for mission-critical systems
• Support strategic platform modernization initiatives across enterprise fintech infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Python specialization
• Deep expertise in Django, FastAPI, Flask, or equivalent enterprise backend frameworks
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, asynchronous task processing, and distributed backend systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, message queues, and workflow-driven architectures
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployment models
• Understanding of payment systems, transaction lifecycle management, and financial operations architecture
• Knowledge of secure coding standards, PCI compliance principles, and fintech cybersecurity fundamentals
• Experience in digital payments, banking technology, or fintech platforms is highly preferred
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and systems-thinking capability
