The Strategic Opportunity

A rapidly expanding digital financial services institution is seeking a highly skilled and strategically minded Senior Fintech Cybersecurity & Digital Fraud Prevention Specialist to protect mission-critical financial infrastructure, customer transaction ecosystems, and enterprise payment environments across high-volume digital operations.

This is far beyond a conventional cybersecurity role. It is a frontline strategic position responsible for defending complex fintech ecosystems where payment gateways, digital wallets, customer onboarding platforms, treasury systems, lending operations, mobile banking services, and merchant acquiring platforms must remain secure, compliant, and continuously resilient against evolving cyber threats.

The successful professional will lead proactive cybersecurity defense strategies across fraud prevention, transaction security, identity protection, anti-phishing systems, infrastructure hardening, incident response, and enterprise risk intelligence.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity operations across payment platforms, transaction systems, digital wallets, APIs, merchant acquiring networks, and customer-facing financial applications

• Design and strengthen fraud prevention frameworks involving transaction anomaly detection, account takeover prevention, payment fraud monitoring, and digital identity protection

• Conduct security assessments across fintech infrastructure, cloud environments, banking integrations, and third-party vendor ecosystems

• Build proactive defense mechanisms for phishing prevention, malware protection, ransomware resilience, and endpoint security management

• Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and remediation strategies across financial systems

• Strengthen access controls, privileged identity management, authentication security, and customer account protection measures

• Collaborate with compliance, AML, fraud operations, product, and technology teams to ensure secure business continuity

• Ensure compliance with UAE cybersecurity regulations, PCI DSS standards, ISO security frameworks, and internal governance policies

• Lead incident response planning, threat intelligence reporting, and executive cybersecurity risk communication

• Develop enterprise dashboards for fraud trends, cyber risk exposure, operational resilience, and financial threat prevention

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Fintech, or related discipline

• 7–10+ years of cybersecurity experience within fintech, banking, payments, or regulated financial environments

• Strong expertise in fraud prevention systems, SOC operations, SIEM platforms, IAM controls, and payment security architecture

• Deep understanding of transaction monitoring, cybersecurity frameworks, and digital financial risk management

• Experience working with payment infrastructure, cloud security, and financial compliance requirements

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, PCI Security, or equivalent are strongly preferred

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks to executive leadership
