Position Overview
A rapidly expanding financial technology organization is seeking an accomplished Senior Financial Officer to oversee financial governance, strategic planning, budgeting, and operational finance across a portfolio of innovative fintech products and services.
This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to executive financial decision-making while ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and long-term business sustainability. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, treasury, product management, risk, compliance, technology, and commercial teams to optimize financial performance and support regional business expansion.
Primary Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute annual financial plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
- Provide strategic financial recommendations to executive leadership.
- Evaluate financial performance against corporate KPIs.
- Support investment analysis and capital allocation decisions.
Financial Operations
- Oversee daily financial operations across multiple business units.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital performance.
- Supervise financial reporting accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Improve operational efficiency through financial process optimization.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Support enterprise risk management initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with applicable financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Strengthen financial governance frameworks.
Business Partnership
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Commercial, and Operations teams.
- Deliver financial insights supporting strategic initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level reports and board presentations.
- Mentor junior finance professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CFA, or CA is highly desirable.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive finance experience within fintech, banking, financial services, or corporate finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
