Role Purpose

This role leads the multi-year, nationwide modernization of next-generation financial infrastructure across the Kingdom. The Senior Executive Director will architect multi-rail payment systems, intelligent compliance frameworks, interoperability standards, and high-assurance digital financial services engineered for scale, resilience, and regulatory alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Infrastructure Architecture

• Design the architectural blueprint for unified domestic and cross-border payment systems, integrating real-time rails, tokenized settlement logic, ISO 20022 messaging, and digital identity authentication layers.

• Engineer multi-stakeholder interoperability frameworks enabling cohesive integration across financial institutions, fintechs, telecom operators, and national digital platforms.

• Build latency-optimized settlement pipelines with automated liquidity intelligence, intraday risk management, and exception-handling automation.

Compliance & Risk Innovation

• Construct compliance-embedded payment flows integrating real-time AML analytics, risk-scoring engines, sanctions intelligence, and anomaly detection.

• Develop regulatory telemetry systems offering supervisory insight into financial activity volumes, thematic risk exposure, and macro-financial flows.

Digital Transformation Leadership

• Lead architectural governance, enterprise transformation roadmaps, and large-scale digital ecosystem enablement across the Kingdom.

• Define future-state infrastructure strategies harmonized with global financial-interoperability standards and digital-economy mandates.

Candidate Profile

• 12–18 years in financial infrastructure engineering, multi-rail payments, or national digital-payments strategy roles.

• Deep knowledge of ISO 20022, instant payments, financial governance, and distributed digital infrastructure.

• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, regulated, mission-critical financial platforms.
