Strategic Position Overview

The Senior Executive Director will lead the strategic design, transformation, and governance of UAE-aligned next-generation payment ecosystems. This includes orchestrating multi-layer financial infrastructures, cross-border clearing corridors, AI-enhanced fraud control, and merchant ecosystem expansion across the GCC region. This position requires mastery in transaction orchestration, regulatory harmonization, national-scale financial engineering, and global multi-network payments alignment.

Core Executive Responsibilities

• Architect cross-border payments frameworks integrating real-time settlement capabilities, adaptive routing layers, tokenized transaction conduits, and multi-currency orchestration engines.

• Implement intelligent regulatory-compliant payments surveillance systems powered by predictive fraud models, anomaly-detection intelligence, and behavior-driven risk scoring.

• Direct the development of merchant-facing infrastructures, including digital acceptance networks, smart POS APIs, unified payment tokens, and secure checkout orchestration layers.

• Oversee nationwide payments modernization tuned to UAE transformation blueprints, ISO 20022 alignment, GCC interoperability pathways, and global financial standards.

• Establish robust operational resilience frameworks encompassing redundancy engineering, automated failover systems, audit-grade data lineage, and zero-downtime transaction continuity.

• Lead high-performance, globally distributed engineering and regulatory-infrastructure teams across multi-year modernization cycles.

Qualification Requirements

• 12–20 years in payments infrastructure leadership, financial systems engineering, or transaction modernization architecture.

• Expert proficiency in cross-border rails, instant payments infrastructure, tokenized rails, and global regulatory requirements.

• Advanced understanding of UAE’s financial innovation strategy and GCC regional financial-infrastructure evolution.

• Proven ability leading global engineering, compliance, and security divisions through multi-phase, national-scale transformation.
