Role Overview
The Remote Senior Director of Digital Payments & Open Finance Strategy will lead the advancement of real-time payments, digital wallets, and API-driven ecosystems across the UAE. This role combines regulatory expertise, technical innovation, and strategic vision to strengthen the UAE’s position as a global fintech hub. The position requires deep understanding of Central Bank of the UAE directives, ISO 20022 standards, blockchain-based settlement models, and cross-border interoperability.
Key Responsibilities

Architect and manage open finance platforms and interoperable payment systems.

Integrate cross-border digital remittance infrastructures leveraging blockchain.

Oversee consumer-centric payment innovations, including wallets and super-apps.

Implement AI-driven fraud detection and compliance automation frameworks.

Ensure alignment with PCI DSS, AML/CFT, and international data protection laws.

Drive strategic partnerships with fintech startups, banks, and telecom operators.
Qualifications

12+ years in digital payments, transaction banking, or fintech ecosystems.

Strong background in real-time payments, CBDC pilots, and open banking APIs.

Master’s or PhD in Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering.

Expertise in cybersecurity, ISO 20022, and cross-border settlement models.
