Position Summary
The Senior Director of Digital Payment Ecosystems will serve as a global thought leader in the design, modernization, and expansion of advanced payment infrastructures. The role will support the UAE’s ambition to position itself as a global hub for frictionless payments, digital wallets, open banking innovation, and cross-border settlement technologies.
Core Responsibilities

Design end-to-end strategies for interoperable digital payment ecosystems, integrating open banking APIs, ISO 20022 protocols, and instant payments.

Lead regulatory dialogue on real-time gross settlement (RTGS) innovations, central bank digital currency (CBDC) interoperability, and cross-border harmonization.

Develop market deployment strategies for AI-enabled fraud prevention and biometric authentication systems.

Drive digital wallet adoption across consumer, SME, and institutional segments while ensuring trust and scalability.

Establish KPIs for transaction resilience, financial inclusion, and international alignment with EU, APAC, and US standards.
Candidate Profile

12+ years of leadership in digital payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure.

Strong grounding in blockchain-based settlements, tokenized transactions, and AI-driven payment solutions.

Advanced academic background in Economics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.

Proven success in leading cross-border fintech initiatives in highly regulated environments.
