Senior Director of Cross-Border Digital Payments Engineering – Saudi Arabia

Role Purpose

This mandate leads the design, engineering, and orchestration of next-generation cross-border digital payments infrastructure consistent with the Kingdom’s evolving financial modernization agenda. The Senior Director will deliver globally scalable systems that unify domestic rails with regional and international corridors, support programmable settlement workflows, and enforce high-assurance compliance architectures.

key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Architecture & Ecosystem Engineering

• Architect multi-rail payment flows incorporating instant payments, high-throughput settlement layers, and advanced FX orchestration models.

• Develop integrated pipelines for digital identity authentication, privacy-preserving KYC, and cross-border risk classification.

• Create tokenized liquidity blueprints enabling faster settlement, automated reconciliation, and reduced friction in international transfers.

Regulatory Alignment & Governance Design

• Implement governance stacks in compliance with Saudi data-sovereignty mandates, financial sector regulations, ISO 20022 standards, and global AML frameworks.

• Establish standardized interoperability rulesets enabling participant banks, fintech entities, and institutional partners to operate on unified frameworks.

Advanced Analytics & Operational Intelligence

• Lead the deployment of intelligent routing engines using ML-driven risk scoring, anomaly detection, sanctions monitoring, and velocity control.

• Produce predictive analytics structures that model throughput, liquidity stress, fraud vectors, and system-level resilience metrics.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 12 years in digital payments engineering, cross-border settlement systems, or advanced financial infrastructure design.

• Demonstrated experience creating and scaling multi-country payment ecosystems.

• Fluency in instant payments, tokenized settlement architectures, and regulatory compliance.

• Expertise in high-assurance system design, cyber-resilience controls, and financial interoperability frameworks.
