Role Overview

The Senior Director of Cross-Border Fintech Ecosystem & Payment Innovation will lead Oman’s strategic development of cross-border payment infrastructure, integrating secure settlement systems, real-time liquidity management, and interoperable financial rails.

This role requires expertise in payments architecture, cross-border regulatory alignment, and fintech ecosystem orchestration — enabling Oman to emerge as a regional leader in payment innovation and cross-border financial connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect cross-border payment systems integrating tokenized settlements, real-time liquidity routing, and programmable payment flows.

• Lead the design of interoperable payment protocols aligned with GCC central bank frameworks and ISO 20022 standards.

• Oversee innovation in CBDC integration, stablecoin settlement, and smart contract-based payment orchestration.

• Collaborate with central banks and fintech regulators to define cross-border regulatory compliance protocols.

• Establish fintech sandbox initiatives for cross-border payment innovation and infrastructure testing.

• Drive strategic alliances with global payment providers and fintech innovators.

Qualifications

• 14+ years in payments infrastructure, cross-border settlement systems, or fintech ecosystem leadership.

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Payment Systems Architecture, Distributed Ledger Technology, or Digital Finance.

• Proven expertise in payment orchestration, tokenized settlements, and cross-border interoperability.

• Strong understanding of GCC payment modernization frameworks and cross-border compliance.
