Role Overview
The Senior Digital Payments Solutions Architect will lead the architectural vision, design, and implementation of next-generation payment infrastructures and interoperable financial ecosystems for the UAE’s fast-evolving fintech landscape. The role demands an individual with profound technical acumen in real-time payments, open banking frameworks, tokenization, and cross-border settlement systems.
Key Responsibilities

Design and optimize end-to-end architectures for high-volume digital payment systems including QR-based, NFC, and API-driven transaction models.

Define scalable cloud-native payment infrastructures leveraging containerized microservices and hybrid multi-cloud environments.

Integrate ISO 20022 messaging standards and instant payment capabilities across diverse financial platforms.

Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to fortify digital wallets, token vaults, and transaction authentication layers.

Develop robust data frameworks for transaction analytics, AML monitoring, and fraud prevention using advanced AI/ML models.

Engage with UAE’s financial regulators to ensure compliance with Central Bank digital frameworks and data privacy mandates.

Lead innovation sprints to prototype decentralized payment models and blockchain settlement mechanisms.
Qualifications & Expertise

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in payments technology, preferably in GCC fintech or global banking innovation units.

Advanced knowledge of ISO 8583/20022, EMV, and real-time gross settlement systems.

Proficiency in AWS or Azure payment solution architecture.

Strong understanding of open API ecosystems and PSD2-aligned frameworks.
