Role Overview
A strategically positioned role within a high-growth digital finance ecosystem, the Senior Digital Payments Operations Manager will oversee end-to-end payment lifecycle orchestration across regional and cross-border rails. This role is engineered for professionals with strong exposure to card networks, real-time payments, and multi-currency transaction environments.
The successful candidate will serve as the operational backbone of a scalable payments architecture, ensuring high availability, compliance adherence, and continuous optimization of transaction flows.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and optimize payment routing logic across multiple channels (cards, wallets, bank transfers, RTP systems)
- Manage integrations with payment gateways, acquirers, and issuing processors
- Monitor transaction success rates, latency, and settlement cycles with real-time dashboards
- Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to implement fraud mitigation strategies
- Oversee reconciliation processes across multiple currencies and jurisdictions
- Design and implement operational KPIs for transaction efficiency and uptime
- Liaise with engineering teams to deploy payment enhancements and API improvements
Technical & Functional Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related discipline
- 5–8+ years of experience in fintech or digital payments operations
- Strong understanding of ISO 8583 messaging, payment gateways, and API frameworks
- Familiarity with regional payment systems within the GCC
- Experience with tools such as SQL, Python, or data visualization platforms
- Knowledge of AML, KYC, and transaction monitoring systems
