Role Purpose
This role is conceived as a senior advisory appointment for an expert in national-level digital finance policy, regulatory architecture, and payments systems governance. Fully remote, the role operates in close strategic alignment with Qatar’s fintech ecosystem while focusing exclusively on high-level strategy, systemic risk, and long-term financial infrastructure resilience.
This position is non-operational; it exists to define how digital finance systems are structured, governed, and evolved, bridging the gap between technology, regulation, and national financial strategy.
Strategic Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive frameworks for national digital payments, settlement systems, and platform governance

Advise on long-term financial infrastructure evolution and sustainability

Translate macroeconomic and financial-sector policy objectives into actionable fintech strategies

Evaluate emerging technologies for national adoption, interoperability, and systemic stability

Produce policy-grade documents, executive strategic briefs, and risk assessments

Guide alignment of private and public sector fintech initiatives with national priorities
