Role Overview

The Senior Digital Banking Systems Transformation Lead is responsible for designing and orchestrating the next stage of Qatar’s digital banking modernization. The role requires harmonizing large-scale platform engineering, intelligent financial automation, regulatory alignment, and secure customer-centric digital experiences into a unified, future-ready framework. The candidate will guide strategic transformation across digital channels, core banking layers, onboarding flows, identity systems, and interoperability pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level digital banking modernization initiatives, focusing on platform scalability, cloud-native migration, microservices evolution, and digital experience refinement.

• Architect next-generation onboarding, KYC/KYB, digital identity, and customer lifecycle management ecosystems aligned with Qatari digital transformation goals.

• Implement intelligent automation frameworks using AI-driven decision models, financial behavior analytics, and adaptive workflow orchestration.

• Develop technical governance structures supporting data integrity, privacy mandates, operational resilience, and secure cloud adoption.

• Oversee integration of open banking API standards, cross-industry interoperability mechanisms, and embedded finance capabilities.

• Guide long-term architectural roadmaps designed to strengthen digital maturity, regulatory compliance, and user-experience innovation across the national banking sector.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in digital banking technology, platform architecture, or fintech transformation leadership.

• Expertise in API ecosystems, microservices, cloud platforms, digital identity systems, and regulatory-aligned architecture.

• Strong background in AI-enabled automation, transaction lifecycle optimization, and enterprise-grade security controls.

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Financial Technology, or related domain preferred.
