Executive Role Overview

A rapidly advancing financial technology ecosystem in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Developer to design, build, and optimize next-generation blockchain infrastructure powering digital payments, cross-border settlements, tokenized financial services, smart contract ecosystems, and secure transaction platforms.

This role is designed for professionals who understand that blockchain development within fintech is far more than writing smart contracts—it is about engineering trust, transparency, transaction security, settlement efficiency, and institutional-grade financial infrastructure capable of supporting real-world enterprise adoption.

The successful candidate will work across high-value financial systems involving payment rails, digital asset custody frameworks, tokenized treasury operations, decentralized financial workflows, merchant settlement platforms, and enterprise blockchain integrations.

You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, cybersecurity specialists, compliance teams, payment architects, infrastructure engineers, and financial operations leaders to deliver scalable blockchain solutions that align with regulatory expectations and enterprise-grade security standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain blockchain-based fintech platforms supporting payments, settlements, and digital financial services
• Build and deploy secure smart contracts for transaction automation, escrow services, tokenized settlements, and financial workflows
• Develop blockchain integrations for wallets, merchant acquiring systems, treasury operations, and reconciliation platforms
• Optimize transaction efficiency, gas usage, settlement speed, and blockchain network performance
• Create secure APIs connecting blockchain services with banking systems, payment gateways, and enterprise applications
• Implement custody workflows, transaction monitoring, and blockchain auditability frameworks
• Support fraud prevention controls, transaction verification systems, and compliance monitoring tools
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on node infrastructure, deployment automation, monitoring, and system resilience
• Strengthen platform security involving private key management, encryption, access controls, and secure transaction handling
• Participate in architecture reviews, code governance, and technical mentorship across blockchain engineering teams
• Troubleshoot production incidents and improve operational recovery strategies across mission-critical financial systems
• Contribute to long-term digital asset platform modernization and fintech innovation initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
• 5+ years of software development experience with strong blockchain specialization
• Deep expertise in Solidity, smart contract development, and enterprise blockchain architecture
• Strong knowledge of Ethereum, Hyperledger, Polygon, or equivalent blockchain ecosystems
• Experience with backend development using Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or Java for blockchain integrations
• Familiarity with wallets, digital signatures, cryptographic principles, and distributed ledger technologies
• Understanding of payment systems, transaction lifecycle management, and fintech operational architecture
• Knowledge of secure coding standards, blockchain security practices, and financial compliance frameworks
• Experience in digital payments, fintech platforms, or financial infrastructure environments is highly preferred
• Strong debugging, optimization, and systems-thinking capability
