Role Overview
A high-growth fintech ecosystem in Dubai is seeking an intellectually rigorous and insight-driven Senior Behavioral Design Specialist – Financial Decision Architecture, Nudging Systems & User Behavior Optimization to engineer user behavior across its digital financial platforms.
This is a deeply interdisciplinary role, combining behavioral economics, cognitive psychology, UX design, and data analytics to influence how users interact with money. You will design systems that guide users toward better financial decisions, such as increased savings, responsible spending, timely repayments, and fraud awareness.
Rather than simply designing interfaces, you will design decision environments—subtly shaping user choices through ethical nudging, friction optimization, and behavioral insights.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement behavioral interventions within fintech products (nudges, prompts, default settings)
- Analyze user behavior data to identify patterns and decision biases
- Develop frameworks for influencing financial behaviors such as saving, spending, and investing
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product teams to embed behavioral principles
- Conduct A/B testing and experiments to validate behavioral strategies
- Optimize user journeys to reduce friction and improve engagement
- Apply cognitive psychology and behavioral economics principles to product design
- Ensure ethical use of behavioral design techniques
- Monitor performance metrics and refine interventions
- Document behavioral models and design strategies
- Stay updated on behavioral science research and fintech trends
- Support product innovation through behavioral insights
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in behavioral design, UX strategy, or related roles
- Strong understanding of cognitive biases and decision-making frameworks
- Experience with data analysis and experimentation
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with fintech or financial products
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms and analytics tools
