This role is designed for an elite backend engineer capable of building the core transaction engines powering the future of digital banking.

Mission Objective

To architect and optimize enterprise-grade backend systems supporting:

• Real-time banking APIs
• High-volume payment orchestration
• Cloud-native transaction infrastructures
• Secure authentication ecosystems
• Scalable financial microservices architectures

Primary Responsibilities

1. Backend Financial Systems Engineering

• Design and develop highly scalable backend services powering digital banking operations
• Build resilient API ecosystems supporting account management, payments, transfers, and financial integrations
• Architect event-driven microservices capable of processing high-frequency financial transactions

2. Real-Time Payment Infrastructure

• Develop low-latency transaction processing systems optimized for scalability and reliability
• Build asynchronous messaging and queue-based financial workflows
• Optimize payment orchestration engines supporting multi-channel banking operations

3. Cloud-Native Infrastructure Development

• Build containerized backend environments using modern DevOps and cloud engineering practices
• Develop scalable backend deployment pipelines supporting continuous integration and delivery
• Optimize backend infrastructure performance across distributed financial systems

4. Security, Authentication & Operational Resilience

• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and encryption frameworks for financial APIs
• Build fraud-resistant transaction validation systems
• Design fault-tolerant architectures ensuring operational continuity and data integrity

5. Engineering Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Collaborate closely with product engineers, DevOps specialists, security teams, and fintech architects
• Mentor junior backend engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
• Participate in backend modernization and infrastructure scalability initiatives

Technical Requirements

• 5–10 years in backend engineering, fintech systems development, or enterprise API architecture
• Advanced expertise in:
  • Java / Kotlin / Go / Node.js
  • Spring Boot / NestJS / Micronaut
  • RESTful APIs & gRPC
  • PostgreSQL / MySQL
  • Redis / Kafka / RabbitMQ
  • Docker & Kubernetes
  • AWS / Azure / Google Cloud
• Experience building:
  • Banking APIs
  • Payment gateways
  • High-concurrency transaction systems
  • Distributed backend architectures

Preferred Expertise

• Knowledge of Open Banking standards and API security
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS and financial compliance systems
• Experience with real-time event streaming architectures
• Understanding of financial reconciliation and settlement workflows
