This role is designed for an elite backend-focused data analyst capable of building analytical infrastructures that power the future of intelligent financial operations.

Mission Objective

To develop and optimize advanced fintech data ecosystems supporting:

• Real-time payment analytics
• Transaction intelligence pipelines
• Backend financial reporting systems
• Fraud and anomaly detection analytics
• API-driven operational data infrastructure

Primary Responsibilities

1. Backend Financial Data Architecture

• Design and manage scalable backend data environments processing high-volume payment and transactional datasets
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines supporting real-time financial data ingestion and transformation
• Build structured data models optimized for operational reporting and predictive analytics

2. Payment Intelligence & Transaction Analytics

• Analyze payment flows, settlement trends, and transaction behavior across digital financial platforms
• Build analytical dashboards monitoring transaction success rates, processing latency, and financial performance
• Generate operational insights supporting payment optimization and revenue growth strategies

3. Fraud Detection & Risk Analytics

• Develop backend analytical models identifying suspicious transactional behavior and operational anomalies
• Collaborate with fraud prevention and cybersecurity teams to improve detection accuracy
• Create monitoring systems for transaction irregularities, chargeback trends, and financial risk exposure

4. Data Infrastructure Optimization

• Optimize SQL queries, warehouse performance, and backend analytical workflows for scalability and efficiency
• Support cloud-based data infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Build automated reporting ecosystems reducing manual operational dependency

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with backend engineers, payment architects, product managers, and treasury operations teams
• Translate complex financial datasets into actionable business intelligence
• Support strategic fintech decision-making through deep operational analytics

Technical Requirements

• 5–10 years in backend data analytics, fintech intelligence, financial operations analytics, or payment systems
• Strong expertise in:
  • SQL
  • Python
  • PostgreSQL / MySQL
  • BigQuery / Snowflake / Redshift
  • Power BI / Tableau / Looker
  • API data integrations
  • Cloud data ecosystems
• Experience working with:
  • Payment gateways
  • Digital wallets
  • Banking APIs
  • Financial transaction systems
  • Large-scale structured datasets

Preferred Expertise

• Knowledge of Kafka, Spark, or streaming analytics systems
• Familiarity with fraud analytics and transaction monitoring frameworks
• Experience within digital banking or fintech ecosystems
• Understanding of financial reconciliation and settlement operations
