Role Overview

The Senior Architect will design and govern Oman’s national-scale open finance infrastructure, incorporating federated APIs, identity-layer trust frameworks, cross-institution data governance, and AI-enabled financial insights. The mission is to deliver a secure, interoperable, and innovation-enabling architecture that empowers banks, fintechs, insurers, telcos, and digital service providers to integrate seamlessly under unified financial data and security standards.

This position requires deep fluency in open banking architectures, data fabric engineering, cryptographic identity systems, and omni-channel financial experience design.

Core Responsibilities

Federated Open Finance Architecture

• Develop API-driven financial ecosystems enabling secure account access, payment initiation, data mobility, and embedded-finance orchestration.

• Architect high-resilience API gateways with intelligent rate governance, protocol versioning, and cross-network compatibility.

Digital Identity & Financial Trust Layers

• Create multi-factor, cryptographically anchored identity frameworks, integrating biometrics, tokenized credentials, and zero-knowledge verification.

• Build a national financial trust fabric enabling cross-institution authentication with privacy-preserving data controls.

AI-Enabled Intelligence & Data Fabric Governance

• Implement machine learning models for financial behavior insights, risk scoring, fraud behavioral mapping, and contextual customer segmentation.

• Design data governance protocols ensuring secure, regulated, compliant data portability and ecosystem integrity.

Strategic Regulatory Alignment

• Interpret Omani regulatory directives and develop technical compliance frameworks that align with regional and global open finance standards.

• Engage with multi-stakeholder groups to define ecosystem-wide governance models.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Digital Finance, Software Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent.

• 10+ years in open banking architecture, identity frameworks, or large-scale financial integration systems.

• Expertise in API standards, ML-driven financial analytics, and financial data security protocols.
