We are looking for an accomplished Secure Payments, API & Financial Integration Backend Engineer to develop the backend infrastructure connecting payment platforms, financial services and digital applications.
The interface may be simple.
The backend cannot be.
Every request must be processed with security, precision, resilience and traceability.
YOUR MISSION
CONNECT
Build secure integrations between fintech applications, payment services and external financial systems.
PROTECT
Implement authentication, authorization and secure API practices.
PROCESS
Develop reliable transaction and payment-processing services.
OBSERVE
Create comprehensive logging, monitoring and audit capabilities.
SCALE
Engineer integrations that remain reliable as transaction volumes and connected systems increase.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop secure backend services for payment applications.

Build and maintain financial APIs.

Integrate third-party payment and financial platforms.

Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Design transaction-processing workflows.

Develop webhook and event-processing systems.

Implement idempotency and retry mechanisms.

Develop reconciliation-support services.

Establish API monitoring and observability.

Investigate integration and transaction failures.

Improve backend security and resilience.

Conduct code reviews and technical architecture reviews.

Collaborate with cybersecurity, product and infrastructure teams.

Maintain detailed API and integration documentation.

You are a backend engineer who understands that financial integrations are not ordinary software integrations.
You think carefully about:

What happens when the transaction succeeds but the response fails?
What happens when an external system becomes unavailable?
Your engineering decisions should produce systems that remain dependable even when individual components fail.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Experience in payments, digital banking, fintech APIs, payment gateways, financial integrations, backend engineering or cybersecurity is highly advantageous.
