Role Overview
This is a global-facing strategic role for a Senior Payments Strategy & Digital Wallets Director to architect and operationalize UAE-focused yet internationally competitive payments and wallet ecosystems. The appointment emphasizes regional interoperability, cross-border instant payments, and regulatory harmonization with the UAE Central Bank’s fintech initiatives, while spearheading international scalability of mobile-first digital wallets.
Key Responsibilities

Develop long-term payments strategy addressing instant payments, digital wallets, and QR-based acceptance models.

Lead global research and implementation of tokenization standards, ISO 20022 frameworks, and blockchain-enabled remittance models.

Advise on compliance with FATF AML/CFT expectations, UAE’s digital payments regulatory sandbox, and emerging GCC data privacy regimes.

Establish a forward-looking ecosystem integrating consumer-centric wallet designs with merchant-acquirer infrastructure.

Drive stakeholder engagement with global PSPs, card networks, and GCC interoperability forums.
Candidate Profile

10–15 years of proven experience in global payments and mobile wallet ecosystems.

Technical proficiency in blockchain consensus models, digital identity frameworks, and cloud-based payments infrastructure.

Strategic understanding of international remittances, particularly in high-volume GCC corridors.

Ability to lead remote-first policy, technology, and product strategy teams across time zones.
