Role Overview:
This uniquely strategic design role caters to the rise of Shariah-compliant WealthTech in Oman, combining UX/UI mastery, Islamic financial literacy, and cross-border digital platform design. You will lead the development of intuitive interfaces that guide Muslim investors through ethically screened portfolios, Waqf donations, Halal robo-advisory tools, and Sukuk investment flows.
The role demands deep empathy with Omani cultural expectations, technical proficiency in wealth product workflows, and collaborative ability across design, engineering, and Shariah governance units.
Key Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end user experience for Oman-centric Islamic investing platforms including onboarding, dashboarding, goal-based planning, and zakat tracking.

Co-create visual and interaction design strategies with Shariah scholars, ensuring accurate and intuitive compliance indicators for each asset class.

Develop modular UI systems that support multi-language (Arabic/English) usage, data visualization, and mobile-first design for low-bandwidth users.

Conduct ethnographic interviews with Omani investors, fintech stakeholders, and SME owners to map expectations, pain points, and behavioral drivers.

Apply accessibility-first design principles while embedding regional Islamic values (e.g., risk-sharing, stewardship, charity).

Design seamless portfolio rebalancing experiences and alerts aligned with ethical performance and global market shifts.

Coordinate with cross-border product teams (Malaysia, Turkey, GCC) to adapt designs to multiple Islamic investment models.
Qualifications:

6+ years in digital product design, preferably in fintech, investment platforms, or ethical finance domains.

Proven portfolio of mobile and web applications built in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.

Functional knowledge of Shariah-compliant finance principles, preferably through formal education or work with Islamic institutions.

Excellent understanding of responsive design, UI kits, design systems, and prototyping workflows.

Deep appreciation of GCC visual culture, color psychology, and multilingual layout design.
Preferred Traits:

Experience collaborating with financial scholars or regulators.

Understanding of Takaful, Sukuk structures, and Islamic asset screening criteria.

Fluent Arabic and English literacy (written and spoken).
