Bahrain is rapidly consolidating its position as a regional fintech nucleus, pioneering frameworks in digital asset transfer, real-time settlements, and interoperable payments. The Remote Senior Director of Cross-Border Payment Innovation will lead design and governance of high-performance, blockchain-enabled remittance architectures — reimagining financial connectivity across the GCC, Africa, and Asia.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect scalable cross-border payment solutions leveraging blockchain, distributed ledgers, and ISO 20022-compliant messaging protocols.

• Define liquidity optimization strategies using AI and predictive analytics to reduce friction across multi-currency corridors.

• Integrate APIs with global correspondent banks, PSPs, and digital wallet providers to ensure unified financial interoperability.

• Oversee regulatory and compliance technology modules supporting AML/CFT and real-time transaction transparency.

• Develop tokenized settlement frameworks and programmable payment mechanisms powered by smart contracts.

• Drive partnerships with global fintech ecosystems to advance digital asset remittance technologies and regional interoperability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in payments architecture, blockchain engineering, or digital remittance strategy.

• Advanced expertise in ISO 20022, SWIFT gpi, CBDC models, and multi-rail payments ecosystems.

• Strong technical background in distributed ledger protocols (RippleNet, Stellar, Hyperledger).

• Demonstrated understanding of GCC and global payment regulatory ecosystems.
