Position Mission:
We are seeking a Remote Lead for Tokenized Trade Finance & Smart Supply Chain Solutions to architect and oversee a groundbreaking initiative that leverages blockchain and tokenization for digitizing and democratizing trade finance across Kuwait and its GCC trade corridors. This role will drive innovation at the convergence of Web3, logistics tech, and Islamic trade protocols in alignment with Kuwait Finance House, CBK guidelines, and global trade networks.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and deployment of smart contract–enabled trade finance tools (e.g., tokenized letters of credit, digital guarantees, Islamic Murabaha-based trade deals).

Create interoperable infrastructure integrating with blockchain networks (e.g., Hyperledger Fabric, Polygon, Quorum) to facilitate document immutability, real-time audit trails, and trustless verification.

Partner with Kuwaiti ports, free zones, customs authorities, and regional banks to deploy blockchain-based documentary credit and B2B token transfers.

Develop a compliance matrix that aligns with the Central Bank of Kuwait, FATF trade-based money laundering standards, and global shipping regulations.

Build integrations with IoT supply chain trackers, ESG verification modules, and OCR-based invoice digitization layers.

Champion private-permissioned chains and decentralized identity for exporters/importers in Islamic jurisdictions.

Enable SME exporters to access working capital through tokenized trade receivables and programmable escrows.

Implement AI-based credit risk scoring and supply chain analytics dashboards for risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
-
8+ years in trade finance, supply chain finance, or blockchain architecture, with at least 2+ years focused on tokenization or decentralized tools.

Deep understanding of Kuwait’s banking regulations, digital asset outlook, and fintech strategy (including CBK sandbox initiatives).

Practical knowledge of L/C workflows, Shariah-compliant trade structures, and cross-border payment flows.

Competence in Solidity, Rust, or GoLang for smart contract engineering; knowledge of ZKPs is a bonus.
Preferred Profile:

CFA, CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist), or CIPS certification.

Arabic fluency and regional shipping knowledge (especially GCC-Iraq-Turkey trade lanes).

Exposure to SWIFT GPI, COMEX API integration, and logistics ERP systems.
