Position Overview

Kuwait is undergoing a major payments infrastructure transformation, focusing on real-time settlement, digital identity integration, and cross-border harmonization with GCC partners. The Head of Payments Infrastructure Modernization will lead the design, governance, and execution of secure, scalable, and interoperable payment systems aligned with global best practices.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy next-generation payment platforms with end-to-end real-time processing capabilities.

• Integrate digital identity frameworks to strengthen security and streamline user authentication.

• Develop cross-border remittance solutions using blockchain-based settlement rails and tokenized assets.

• Implement advanced AI-powered fraud detection and transaction monitoring systems.

• Collaborate with central authorities, fintech startups, and financial institutions to accelerate adoption and ensure resilience.

Candidate Profile

• 12+ years in payments system design, digital banking infrastructure, or fintech product leadership.

• Expertise in ISO 20022, blockchain settlement protocols, and payment orchestration.

• Strong experience in cybersecurity, anti-fraud frameworks, and risk governance.

• Proven success in building scalable cross-border transaction systems.
