Role Overview

Kuwait’s fast-evolving fintech landscape requires the appointment of a globally experienced innovator to lead the design and execution of real-time payments infrastructure. This role will focus on digital wallets, QR-payments, and instant settlement networks, positioning Kuwait at the forefront of global payments modernization.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect instant payments frameworks aligned with global standards such as ISO 20022, SEPA Instant, and FedNow equivalents.

• Design and implement secure, interoperable digital wallet ecosystems tailored for both consumers and merchants.

• Champion tokenization protocols and AI-driven fraud detection in real-time settlement environments.

• Engage with regulators on compliance with FATF AML/CFT standards and Kuwait Central Bank’s fintech directives.

• Lead global partnerships with card networks, PSPs, and open banking aggregators.

Candidate Profile

• 10–15 years of experience in international payments ecosystems.

• Deep expertise in real-time payments infrastructure, card-tokenization, and NFC/QR technologies.

• Strong regulatory understanding of AML, KYC, and cross-border payment frameworks.

• Track record of leading remote-first innovation teams across multiple jurisdictions.
