Overview
Qatar’s financial ecosystem is rapidly adopting decentralized technology frameworks to accelerate secure, transparent, and cross-border banking solutions. The Remote Head of Blockchain Banking Innovation will champion the country’s next-generation financial transformation by building enterprise-level blockchain frameworks that enable programmable banking, tokenized liquidity, and smart contract-based compliance automation.
Role Purpose
This position commands strategic leadership in creating decentralized finance architectures that harmonize with global regulatory standards and Qatar’s National Vision for Financial Innovation. The Head of Blockchain Banking Innovation will design, prototype, and deploy blockchain-driven financial infrastructure that integrates trust, interoperability, and institutional-grade security.
Key Responsibilities

Define and implement blockchain strategies for digital asset issuance, tokenized deposits, and distributed settlement systems.

Lead multi-chain integration programs connecting central bank infrastructure, commercial banks, and fintech networks.

Design digital asset custody and compliance mechanisms aligned with FATF and Basel frameworks.

Develop smart-contract standards for programmable payments, syndicated lending, and digital bond issuance.

Oversee the creation of hybrid blockchain layers enabling real-time transparency and auditable transactions.

Collaborate with international blockchain consortia, GCC financial councils, and global standards organizations.

Advocate for blockchain policy evolution through white papers, strategic panels, and innovation governance committees.
Qualifications

Advanced degree in Blockchain Engineering, Cryptography, or Financial Systems Architecture.

Minimum 12+ years in digital finance transformation with at least 5 years in blockchain banking leadership.

Expertise in Solidity, Rust, Hyperledger Fabric, Cosmos SDK, or enterprise-blockchain frameworks.

Strong understanding of token economics, decentralized governance, and distributed consensus protocols.
