Remote Global Head of Embedded Finance & API Ecosystem Innovation – Oman

Position Context

Oman is pursuing strategic diversification by embedding fintech into retail, logistics, and energy ecosystems. The Global Head of Embedded Finance & API Ecosystem Innovation will lead the creation of platform-based financial services architectures, enabling banking-as-a-service (BaaS) and open finance ecosystems at scale.

Core Mandate

• Develop Oman’s embedded finance ecosystem, integrating credit, payments, and insurance seamlessly into consumer and enterprise platforms.

• Drive API economy growth, establishing developer marketplaces, financial data exchange standards, and third-party innovation sandboxes.

• Oversee design of cloud-native, modular BaaS platforms aligned with global interoperability frameworks.

• Establish strategic alliances with BigTech, e-commerce, and logistics networks to embed financial services across industries.

• Scale alternative credit scoring models using IoT, telco data, and behavioral analytics to increase financial inclusion.

• Position Oman as a regional pioneer in API-first financial ecosystems, attracting fintech investment and developer communities.

Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years in fintech ecosystems, API economy design, or embedded finance leadership.

• Advanced expertise in open banking standards (Berlin Group, UK OBIE, PSD2/3, ISO 20022).

• Background in cloud-native fintech architectures, microservices, and multi-tenant platforms.

• Strong ability to lead cross-industry consortiums, uniting financial institutions, regulators, and non-financial enterprises.

• Demonstrated success scaling BaaS or embedded finance platforms across emerging markets.
