Role Overview
Kuwait is undergoing rapid transformation in its digital financial services landscape, with growing demand for API-driven ecosystems and fintech infrastructure modernization. We are seeking a Remote Fintech Infrastructure & API Specialist to design, implement, and manage technical integrations that power seamless interoperability between banks, fintech platforms, and third-party providers.
This role requires advanced technical knowledge of API frameworks, cloud systems, and secure integrations, combined with regulatory awareness and financial systems expertise.
Key Responsibilities

Design and manage API architectures that connect banking systems with fintech solutions.

Lead implementation of open banking frameworks in compliance with Central Bank of Kuwait guidelines.

Ensure data integrity, transaction security, and resilience across integrations.

Work with fintech product teams to embed secure, scalable APIs into digital banking and payments solutions.

Implement advanced encryption, identity management, and cybersecurity controls.

Research global open banking developments to ensure Kuwait’s fintech ecosystem remains competitive.

Support technical teams in deploying cloud-based and API-first financial infrastructures.

Optimize performance of API systems, monitoring uptime, latency, and scalability.
Required Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.

6+ years’ experience in fintech infrastructure, API development, or financial systems engineering.

Strong knowledge of API standards (REST, GraphQL, ISO 20022).

Experience with open banking, cloud-native deployments, and security protocols (OAuth2, TLS).

Familiarity with Kuwait’s banking environment and regulatory frameworks.

Proven ability to collaborate with distributed technical teams.
