Role Overview
The Remote Fintech Cloud Security Architect will design and implement enterprise-grade, secure, cloud-hosted environments for financial technology applications operating within the UAE. The role focuses on ensuring robust cloud security postures, maintaining compliance with UAE Central Bank technology directives, and enabling high-availability, mission-critical financial platforms.
This position will oversee cloud security governance, threat mitigation strategies, and continuous compliance monitoring, with a focus on hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
Key Responsibilities

Architect secure, scalable, and compliant cloud environments for banking, payment, and wealth management systems.

Implement identity and access management (IAM), zero-trust frameworks, and encryption-at-rest/in-transit controls.

Develop and enforce cloud security policies aligned with UAE regulatory frameworks and ISO 27017/27018 standards.

Oversee real-time threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response procedures.

Integrate cloud-native security tools with SIEM and SOC operations.

Ensure compliance reporting for both internal governance and UAE regulatory submissions.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or related field.

At least 8 years of experience in cloud architecture with a focus on secure fintech applications.

Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or CISSP.

Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift) security.
Preferred Skills

Familiarity with UAE banking sector cloud adoption requirements.

Proficiency in compliance automation and continuous security validation tools.
