Position Summary
A fast-scaling fintech project catering to the Kuwaiti market is seeking a Financial Data Integrity & Reconciliation Officer. The ideal candidate will specialize in identifying and resolving transactional discrepancies between fintech platforms, payment gateways, banks, and end-user ledgers. This role is crucial to ensuring daily reconciliation of high-volume digital payments and wallets, maintaining trust in the platform’s backend accuracy and audit readiness.
Key Duties

Reconcile transactional data across internal systems, issuing banks, and settlement partners.

Automate daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports using SQL, Python, or reconciliation engines.

Investigate and resolve financial mismatches, chargebacks, failed settlements, or refund disputes.

Support internal audit and regulatory compliance reporting in alignment with Kuwait Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and Central Bank directives.

Coordinate with customer support, engineering, and compliance teams to address reconciliation issues at the source.

Build dashboard alerts for reconciliation anomalies and threshold breaches.

Contribute to automation of workflows to reduce manual reconciliation processes by over 60%.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or related discipline.

At least 4 years of experience in fintech operations, payment systems, or banking reconciliation.

Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and any reconciliation software (BlackLine, ReconArt, or custom tools).

Familiarity with Kuwait-based fintech platforms, KNet transactions, and CBK regulations.

Ability to identify root causes of mismatches and suggest long-term fixes.
Preferred Experience

Arabic language skills (read/write proficiency).

Experience with ISO 20022 messaging formats and SWIFT reconciliations.

Past exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Snowflake.
