Position Intent
Saudi Arabia’s fintech trajectory is now anchored in the convergence of embedded finance, open banking, and digital ecosystem integration. The Director of Embedded Finance & API Ecosystem Strategy will architect an API-first, platform-driven financial ecosystem enabling real-time interoperability, smart integrations, and financial product modularization across digital channels.
This role requires expertise in designing open financial infrastructure, ensuring full harmonization with international data standards while optimizing user-centric financial experiences.
Key Responsibilities

Define the strategic blueprint for API-based financial connectivity, empowering institutions, fintechs, and developers to collaborate through secure integration protocols.

Oversee the deployment of microservices-driven architectures enabling dynamic banking functionality, digital payments, and embedded credit solutions.

Lead national-level initiatives in Open Finance standardization, driving interoperability across diverse banking, insurance, and fintech ecosystems.

Establish API monetization frameworks and developer engagement platforms to accelerate open financial innovation.

Integrate AI and analytics engines to enhance transaction intelligence, predictive personalization, and fraud monitoring.

Collaborate with regulatory stakeholders to evolve API governance, consent management, and data sharing protocols.
Qualifications & Expertise

12+ years’ experience in digital finance strategy, API engineering, or open banking product architecture.

Deep technical fluency in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices, and cloud-native fintech systems.

Demonstrated experience leading Open Banking or Open Finance implementations within large-scale ecosystems.

Comprehensive understanding of GCC’s fintech regulatory landscape, with ability to build interoperable, compliant frameworks.
