Position Overview
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s rapid financial transformation presents a unique opportunity for the Director of Digital Payments Architecture to design and implement next-generation payment ecosystems. This role requires deep technical expertise and strategic foresight to deliver real-time, secure, and interoperable digital finance infrastructures across KSA and the broader GCC.
Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture and deployment of real-time payment systems, ISO 20022 messaging, and cross-border settlement frameworks.

Oversee integration of AI-driven fraud detection, KYC automation, and AML compliance solutions.

Collaborate with GCC regulators, financial institutions, and technology providers on cross-border interoperability and fintech innovation.

Define risk and governance frameworks in line with global banking standards.

Support the development of tokenized payment solutions and programmable finance models.
Qualifications

Advanced degree in Financial Engineering, Technology Management, or related discipline.

12+ years of leadership in digital payments, fintech infrastructure, or large-scale financial systems integration.

Proficiency in cloud-native banking platforms and distributed ledger technologies.

Extensive knowledge of GCC regulatory regimes, especially KSA’s digital payments strategy.

Strong cross-cultural leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
