Overview:
A futuristic digital finance initiative is hiring a Remote Director of AI-Driven Investor Onboarding to lead the development of UAE’s most intelligent, AI-enhanced KYC and investor identity platform, transforming how onboarding is done in both retail fintech apps and capital markets investment portals.
The mission: automate, personalize, and secure financial identity formation while complying with VARA, SCA, DIFC, and ADGM standards for onboarding, AML, and digital identity resilience.
Primary Responsibilities:

Build AI-enabled onboarding pipelines that combine biometric authentication, behavioral scoring, and transaction-pattern learning.

Lead LLM and computer vision initiatives to extract investor profiles from multi-language, multi-format KYC documentation in real-time.

Design risk-based onboarding flows—segmenting users into intelligent pathways based on jurisdictional exposure, financial behavior, and product risk.

Deploy privacy-preserving data models and blockchain-based identity attestations to empower self-sovereign financial identity.

Integrate onboarding engines with brokerage APIs, DeFi gateways, and regulatory reporting dashboards.
Required Background:
-
Minimum 10 years in AI/ML systems, identity platforms, or fintech onboarding architecture.

Deep knowledge of UAE’s digital identity frameworks (UAE PASS, eKYC, SCA digital investor registry).

Experience in AI-driven decision tree logic, document OCR pipelines, and behavioral fraud detection.

Familiarity with VARA, DIFC Innovation Hub, and global onboarding compliance (FATF, ISO 20022).

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, RegTech, or Secure Systems Engineering.
Nice-to-Haves:

Arabic language fluency.

Experience with sovereign identity token systems or zero-knowledge credentialing platforms.

Past role in startup or enterprise-grade onboarding pipeline rebuilds across MENA or EU.
