Role Overview

As Oman invests heavily in digital finance, cybersecurity and digital identity governance will define the integrity of its fintech infrastructure. The Chief of Fintech Cybersecurity & Digital Identity will establish frameworks to protect financial ecosystems, develop advanced trust and authentication systems, and lead global strategies in securing digital transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee design of next-generation digital identity ecosystems, integrating biometrics, e-KYC, and blockchain-based authentication.

• Define cybersecurity strategies covering payments, open banking APIs, and decentralized finance ecosystems.

• Implement AI-driven fraud prevention, intrusion detection, and anomaly-based risk scoring systems.

• Align Omani fintech security protocols with NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and international privacy frameworks (GDPR, GCC data laws).

• Spearhead remote-first incident response operations across multiple fintech jurisdictions.

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of leadership in cybersecurity, digital identity, and fintech infrastructure governance.

• Expertise in zero-trust architectures, blockchain-based security, and AI-powered risk management.

• Knowledge of GCC regulatory cybersecurity frameworks and data protection laws.

• Proven record of managing remote, globally distributed security engineering teams.
