A highly sophisticated fintech institution in Doha is recruiting a top-tier Principal Sustainable Finance & ESG Director – Climate Strategy, Financial Innovation & Global Impact Leadership to lead enterprise-level sustainability strategy across a complex financial ecosystem.
This role is designed for a senior professional capable of shaping large-scale sustainable finance initiatives, integrating ESG principles into digital financial services, and driving global impact through innovation.
You will operate at a strategic level—defining sustainability frameworks, influencing investment strategies, and ensuring that ESG considerations are embedded into every aspect of financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute enterprise ESG and sustainable finance strategy
- Lead development of climate-focused financial products and solutions
- Integrate ESG considerations into investment and risk frameworks
- Conduct climate risk analysis and scenario modeling
- Ensure compliance with Qatar ESG regulations and global standards
- Collaborate with executive leadership on sustainability initiatives
- Mentor teams and build ESG capabilities
- Evaluate emerging trends in sustainable finance and climate technology
- Drive innovation in green fintech solutions
- Develop partnerships with sustainability-focused organizations
- Monitor ESG performance and impact metrics
- Provide strategic insights on sustainability and financial innovation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Environmental Science, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in ESG or sustainable finance
- Strong expertise in climate finance and ESG strategy
- Experience with large-scale financial operations
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with global ESG frameworks and reporting standards
- Knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies
- Familiarity with fintech platforms and digital financial services
