Role Overview

This role is positioned at the intersection of payments infrastructure, sovereign-scale transaction design, and next-generation settlement logic. The Principal Architect will design, rationalize, and evolve payment ecosystems capable of operating across heterogeneous regulatory environments, real-time rails, and emerging digital value instruments.

The mandate is not executional alone; it is architectural stewardship over how money moves, clears, reconciles, and settles at scale.

Strategic Responsibilities

1. Architect real-time and near-real-time payment frameworks spanning domestic and cross-border corridors.

2. Design settlement logic across card networks, instant payment rails, digital wallets, and tokenized value systems.

3. Define transaction orchestration layers, message standards (ISO 20022), and interoperability frameworks.

4. Lead risk-aware payment design covering liquidity management, fraud vectors, and reconciliation integrity.

5. Translate regulatory requirements into resilient technical and operational blueprints.

6. Act as an advisory authority on emerging payment paradigms within the GCC and global markets.

Professional Prerequisites

• 10+ years in digital payments, transaction banking, or financial market infrastructure.

• Deep expertise in clearing & settlement, payment gateways, and real-time payment systems.

• Advanced understanding of AML transaction flows, sanctions screening, and monitoring architectures.

• Proven experience designing systems for multi-jurisdictional compliance.

• Ability to operate autonomously in a remote, cross-border executive environment.

Salary Structure & Economic Framework

• Base Annual Compensation: USD 145,000 – 190,000

• Architecture Stewardship Allowance: USD 20,000 – 30,000

• Performance-Linked Strategic Bonus: Up to 25% annually

• Optional Retainer Conversion: For advisory-only engagement models

• Currency Flexibility: USD, AED, or pegged equivalents
