Role Mandate

This role is designed for a senior-level fintech architect operating at the intersection of real-time payments engineering, large-scale financial systems design, and cross-border transaction orchestration. The successful professional will function as a strategic remote authority responsible for designing, governing, and evolving high-availability digital payment infrastructures serving multi-jurisdictional markets, with a particular emphasis on scalability, resiliency, and regulatory interoperability across advanced financial ecosystems.

Operating remotely while aligned to the UAE market, this position demands intellectual leadership in modern payment rails, ISO-based messaging frameworks, tokenized settlement models, and API-driven financial ecosystems.

Strategic Responsibilities

• Architect and continuously evolve end-to-end digital payment infrastructures, including instant payments, wallet-based ecosystems, merchant acquiring platforms, and cross-border settlement layers.

• Define reference architectures for API-first payment platforms, including gateway orchestration, fraud-resilient transaction routing, and real-time reconciliation engines.

• Lead the technical design of payment interoperability frameworks spanning domestic clearing systems, international networks, and alternative settlement models.

• Establish governance standards for transaction throughput, latency optimization, fault tolerance, and system observability at scale.

• Translate regional regulatory requirements into executable technical controls without compromising system agility or performance.

• Act as a remote technical authority for senior stakeholders, providing architectural justification, scenario modeling, and future-state payment infrastructure roadmaps.

Advanced Technical Expectations

• Deep expertise in payment messaging standards, distributed ledger–adjacent settlement concepts, and event-driven financial architectures.

• Mastery of cloud-native infrastructure design, including container orchestration, microservices segmentation, and zero-downtime deployment strategies.

• Advanced understanding of transaction risk engines, behavioral analytics, and embedded compliance automation.

• Ability to design systems that support extreme transaction volumes with deterministic performance characteristics.

Salary Structure (UAE – Remote Aligned)

• Base Annual Compensation: AED 420,000 – AED 560,000

• Performance-Linked Incentive: 15% – 25% annually, benchmarked against infrastructure stability, scalability milestones, and delivery outcomes

• Architecture Retainer Allowance: Fixed annual allocation recognizing strategic design ownership

• Total Target Compensation: AED 500,000 – AED 700,000+
