The position of Principal Open Banking Integration Architect is engineered for a deeply technical professional capable of orchestrating API-driven financial ecosystems across regulated banking infrastructures.

This role focuses on designing interoperable financial frameworks that connect banks, fintech platforms, third-party providers, and regulatory systems into a cohesive, secure, and scalable open banking environment aligned with Saudi Arabia’s evolving financial landscape.

Primary Architecture Mandate

You will design and govern:

• Secure API gateways enabling third-party financial integrations
• Consent management frameworks aligned with open banking standards
• Real-time data-sharing infrastructures across financial institutions
• Authentication and authorization layers using OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect

Core Responsibilities

A. API Ecosystem Engineering

• Architect RESTful and event-driven APIs for financial data exchange
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and latency optimization
• Implement version control and lifecycle management for APIs

B. Security & Data Governance

• Design secure data-sharing mechanisms with encryption protocols
• Enforce strict identity and access management controls
• Ensure compliance with Saudi financial data protection regulations

C. Interoperability Strategy

• Enable seamless integration between legacy banking systems and fintech platforms
• Standardize communication protocols across multiple financial entities

D. Performance & Scalability Oversight

• Optimize throughput for high-frequency API calls
• Implement monitoring frameworks for system health and performance

Required Expertise

• Advanced experience in API architecture, open banking frameworks, and fintech integrations
• Strong knowledge of identity management protocols and cybersecurity principles
• Familiarity with Saudi regulatory frameworks for open banking
