Technical Mission
This role is designed for a senior engineer responsible for architecting and maintaining high-throughput, fault-tolerant financial systems. The Principal Fintech Systems Engineer operates fully remotely, focusing on transaction reliability, ledger integrity, and infrastructure scalability, without commercial or managerial obligations.
Core Responsibilities

Architect real-time transaction processing engines and ledger systems

Design validation, reconciliation, and finality protocols for financial platforms

Ensure fault-tolerance, disaster recovery, and high availability

Build API-first ecosystem integrations with robust security and extensibility

Conduct stress testing, capacity planning, and failure-mode analysis

Produce comprehensive system documentation, architectural diagrams, and technical blueprints

Distributed ledger systems and reconciliation models

Core banking and real-time payments infrastructure

Required Expertise

15–22 years in financial systems engineering, fintech infrastructure, or transaction-intensive platforms

Proven experience producing technical documentation and architectural specifications

Comfortable working fully remotely in autonomous senior engineering roles
