Role Purpose
This role is built on the premise that trust in fintech is engineered, not assumed. The Principal Fintech Risk, Controls & Platform Assurance Lead is responsible for embedding control logic directly into fintech platforms, ensuring that scale, speed, and innovation do not compromise stability or integrity.
Core Competency Domains
A. Platform Risk Architecture

Design control frameworks integrated into transaction processing and platform workflows.

Identify systemic risk points within fintech architectures and define mitigation logic.
B. Operational & Technology Controls

Embed automated controls for monitoring, exception handling, and escalation.

Ensure traceability, auditability, and operational transparency across systems.
C. Governance & Assurance

Define documentation standards supporting assurance and oversight activities.

Support independent review, testing, and validation of fintech control environments.
D. Strategic Advisory

Advise senior stakeholders on risk exposure, control maturity, and platform resilience.

Translate technical risk signals into executive-level insight.
Required Depth & Experience

10–15 years across fintech risk, financial controls, or digital platform assurance.

Strong understanding of transaction-based systems and digital financial operations.

Ability to work fluently with engineers, product leaders, and governance specialists.
