Role Overview

This role functions as the architectural authority guiding the evolution of Qatar’s fintech product frameworks, integrating modular platform engineering with advanced digital banking, wealth, and embedded finance capabilities. The lead is responsible for designing robust end-to-end product architectures that enable high-scale, secure, and regulatory-aligned digital financial experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise-grade architecture for fintech product modules including onboarding, identity verification, digital accounts, and embedded finance workflows.

• Develop architecture blueprints enabling scalability, multi-tenant environments, and secure API exposure across regional partners.

• Lead product modernization initiatives using cloud-native capabilities, event-driven infrastructure, and microservices decomposition.

• Oversee integration of AI-led financial insights, risk scoring mechanisms, and intelligent product recommendation engines.

• Ensure robust alignment with Qatari regulatory frameworks, data protection principles, and digital transformation standards.

• Guide complex product lifecycle prioritization, platform evolution, and long-term capability planning.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in fintech product architecture, digital banking engineering, or financial systems development.

• Demonstrated experience designing large-scale distributed fintech systems and API-driven ecosystem models.

• Deep expertise in customer identity, digital onboarding, financial data pipelines, and cloud-based architecture governance.

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Financial Engineering, or related field preferred.
