Principal Fintech Data & AI Architect – Remote, Oman

Role Context

This role is engineered for a highly specialized architect operating at the intersection of financial data systems, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics. The Principal Architect will design and implement intelligent data infrastructures that power decision-making across digital banking, payments, and risk systems.

Unlike conventional roles, this position emphasizes deep technical ownership over AI-driven financial ecosystems, rather than broad managerial oversight.

Technical Mission Domains

A. Financial Data Architecture

• Build and optimize high-throughput data pipelines for transactional and behavioral financial data.

• Design data lakes and warehouses tailored for fintech-scale workloads.

• Ensure data integrity, lineage tracking, and real-time processing capabilities.

B. AI/ML Enablement in Finance

• Develop machine learning models for fraud detection, credit scoring, and customer segmentation.

• Implement NLP-driven financial analytics for customer interaction and sentiment analysis.

• Enable real-time predictive intelligence for transaction monitoring and anomaly detection.

C. Platform Engineering

• Architect cloud-native environments supporting scalable AI workloads.

• Integrate microservices and containerized deployments for modular system evolution.

• Optimize computational efficiency and latency across distributed systems.

D. Data Governance & Security

• Implement robust data privacy frameworks aligned with international standards.

• Ensure secure handling of financial data across multi-tenant environments.

• Establish governance protocols for ethical AI deployment in financial systems.

Expertise Requirements

Technical Stack & Knowledge

• Advanced proficiency in Python, distributed computing frameworks, and big data technologies.

• Experience with AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) applied to financial datasets.

• Strong understanding of financial data structures, transaction flows, and risk analytics.

Professional Background

• 10–15 years in data engineering, AI architecture, or fintech analytics.

• Proven track record of deploying production-grade AI solutions in financial environments.

• Experience working within or alongside regulated financial institutions.
