Principal Fintech Cybersecurity & Digital Trust Architect (Remote) – Oman

Position Abstract: Security as Financial Infrastructure

In modern fintech ecosystems, trust is not a feature—it is the infrastructure itself. This role is built for a cybersecurity leader who can architect zero-compromise digital trust frameworks across financial systems.

You will operate at the intersection of:

• Cybersecurity engineering

• Financial systems architecture

• Regulatory technology (RegTech)

Mission Objective

To design and implement a holistic fintech security architecture that ensures:

• End-to-end data integrity

• Transaction authenticity

• Infrastructure resilience against evolving threat vectors

Core Domains of Responsibility

1. Zero-Trust Financial Architecture

• Implement identity-centric security models across all fintech systems

• Design multi-factor authentication (MFA), biometric verification, and adaptive access controls

• Deploy continuous authentication frameworks

2. Payment & Transaction Security

• Secure payment ecosystems using:

  • Tokenization and encryption protocols

  • Secure key management systems (HSMs)

  • Real-time fraud prevention layers

3. Threat Intelligence & Response Systems

• Build AI-powered threat detection systems capable of identifying anomalies in real time

• Establish Security Operations Centers (SOC) frameworks adapted for fintech environments

• Integrate threat intelligence feeds and automated incident response pipelines

4. Regulatory & Compliance Security Alignment

• Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Oman cybersecurity mandates

• Implement frameworks aligned with:

  • ISO 27001

  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework

  • PCI DSS

Required Competencies

• 12+ years in cybersecurity within financial services or fintech

• Expertise in:

  • Cryptography and encryption standards

  • Cloud security (multi-cloud environments)

  • Identity and access management (IAM)

Performance Benchmarks

• Reduction in security incidents and breach attempts

• Mean time to detect (MTTD) and respond (MTTR)

• Compliance audit success rates

• System-wide vulnerability reduction metrics
