Job Overview
Principal Executive – Real-Time Payments Architecture & Financial Rail Engineering
Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait
Engagement Model: Full-Time | Executive Infrastructure Leadership
Primary Domain: Core Fintech | Payments Rails | Transaction Engineering
Strategic Mandate
This role is conceived as the senior-most authority over real-time payments architecture, responsible for defining, governing, and continuously evolving high-throughput financial rails capable of supporting modern digital economies. The Principal Executive will oversee the engineering logic behind how transactions are authorised, routed, settled, reconciled, and analysed in real time, ensuring that payment infrastructures operate with absolute precision, scalability, and durability.
The mandate is fundamentally infrastructural rather than operational. It focuses on system design philosophy, transaction integrity, latency governance, and rail extensibility, positioning payments not as isolated functions, but as foundational economic utilities.
Scope of Authority & Responsibilities
-
Architect and govern real-time payment rail frameworks, including transaction processing cores, settlement orchestration layers, and reconciliation engines.
-
Define engineering standards for latency ceilings, throughput capacity, concurrency tolerance, and fault isolation.
-
Oversee interoperability frameworks enabling seamless interaction between domestic payment systems, digital wallets, and embedded finance platforms.
-
Establish executive doctrines for payments resilience, uptime assurance, and transaction finality.
-
Lead long-term infrastructure roadmaps covering modernization cycles, scalability planning, and architectural renewal.
-
Act as the ultimate authority on payments performance degradation, systemic risk exposure, and rail sustainability.
Executive Profile
-
18–23+ years in fintech payments engineering, transaction platform leadership, or financial infrastructure governance.
-
Demonstrated experience overseeing large-scale, always-on payment systems.
-
Deep mastery of payment flows, settlement logic, transaction state management, and distributed processing models.
-
Ability to operate simultaneously at deep-technical and executive-strategic levels.
-
Track record of long-horizon infrastructure stewardship.
Compensation Structure (Kuwait)
-
Base Salary: KWD 13,000 – 18,000 per month
-
Annual Executive Incentive: 35% – 55% of base salary
-
Long-Term Incentive: Multi-year payment rail performance awards
-
Executive Benefits: Premium housing allowance, comprehensive healthcare, family education support, annual international travel allowance
