Job Overview

This role focuses on the engineering of high-performance payment switching systems, which form the backbone of financial transaction processing. You will design and maintain systems that handle large volumes of transactions with minimal latency, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and security.

You will work on mission-critical infrastructure, where system performance directly impacts financial operations at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop payment switching platforms for routing and processing transactions.
• Implement low-latency transaction engines capable of handling high throughput.
• Integrate with card networks, banks, and payment gateways.
• Ensure system reliability through redundancy, failover mechanisms, and performance optimization.
• Monitor transaction flows and resolve processing issues in real time.
• Implement fraud detection and risk management controls within transaction systems.
• Ensure compliance with payment standards and security protocols.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–13 years in payments engineering or transaction processing systems
• Strong knowledge of payment switching, routing, and settlement processes
• Experience with distributed systems and high-performance computing
• Familiarity with payment standards (ISO 8583, ISO 20022)
• Strong debugging and system optimization skills
