Role Mandate

This role architects the technology required for secure, privacy-preserving device-native payments, enabling offline settlement arbitration, encrypted credential anchoring, and cryptographic state recovery when network access is inconsistent.

You will construct a mobile-grade payment framework hardened against device compromise, replay attacks, and offline double-spending.


Core Functional Responsibilities

On-Device Settlement Logic

  • Deploy trusted execution enclave (TEE) payment modules isolating payment logic from the OS.

  • Implement state journals anchoring:

    • transaction limits,

    • incremental spend caps,

    • time-boxed token validity.


Offline Transaction Arbitration

  • Establish arbitration rules ensuring:

    • no double settlement,

    • sequential transaction integrity,

    • merchant confidence without network confirmation.

  • Apply delayed reconciliation algorithms to restore ledger consistency post-connectivity.


Cryptographic State Recovery

  • Construct recovery layers using:

    • Merkle root state snapshots,

    • rotating ephemeral key hierarchies,

    • spend proofs anchored to prior transaction lineage.


Privacy-Preserving Analytics

  • Generate statistical insights without revealing granular consumer behavior.

  • Apply differential privacy with elastic budget allocation.


Resilience Against Device Compromise

  • Deploy dynamic revocation lists halting compromised device spend capabilities.

  • Introduce device risk scoring incorporating:

    • OS integrity drift,

    • root/jailbreak detection,

    • telemetry entropy anomalies.


Performance Optimization

  • Compress cryptographic proofs to mobile-safe footprints.

  • Utilize GPU-assisted hashing for latency minimization.


Preferred Experience

  • 9+ years in device security, offline payment rails, or distributed cryptographic protocols.

  • Deep familiarity with zero-knowledge spend attestations and key custody models.
