Position Overview

A rapidly scaling fintech innovation ecosystem in Bahrain is searching for a Principal Embedded Finance Specialist to oversee enterprise API banking strategies and embedded financial infrastructure across regional digital commerce and intelligent platform ecosystems.

This role focuses on enabling seamless financial integration within large-scale digital environments through modern Banking-as-a-Service infrastructure, open finance architecture, intelligent transaction systems, AI-powered customer engagement models, and embedded payment ecosystems.

Core Responsibilities

Open Finance & API Banking Leadership

• Design and manage enterprise API banking strategies
• Support the development of scalable embedded finance architectures
• Coordinate financial integration projects involving enterprise platforms and third-party ecosystems
• Lead implementation initiatives for embedded payments, digital credit products, and intelligent financial services
• Develop interoperability standards supporting multi-platform financial ecosystems

Embedded Product Development

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to build innovative embedded financial products
• Design customer-centric financial experiences integrated into digital commerce journeys
• Support intelligent payment routing and financial automation initiatives
• Develop embedded finance monetization frameworks for enterprise growth
• Analyze platform engagement data to optimize financial product performance

Risk, Compliance & Operational Governance

• Ensure embedded finance operations comply with financial regulations and ecosystem governance standards
• Conduct operational risk reviews involving digital financial integrations
• Coordinate vendor and partner governance processes
• Support cybersecurity and fraud prevention initiatives tied to embedded financial infrastructure
• Establish operational resilience frameworks for enterprise fintech ecosystems

Strategic Innovation & Market Expansion

• Identify emerging embedded finance trends affecting GCC markets
• Support enterprise innovation labs focused on digital finance transformation
• Collaborate with AI and analytics teams to improve personalized financial engagement
• Deliver executive reporting on ecosystem growth, platform adoption, and revenue performance
• Advise leadership on the future direction of embedded finance and open banking innovation

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience within fintech, digital banking, open finance, embedded payments, or API-driven financial ecosystems
• Strong knowledge of Banking-as-a-Service infrastructure and platform finance models
• Experience managing complex digital ecosystem integrations
• Excellent understanding of customer experience optimization within fintech environments
• Strong commercial awareness combined with technical fintech expertise
• Ability to operate effectively within rapidly evolving innovation ecosystems
