Role Overview
Cross-border payments remain one of the most complex, fragmented, and opportunity-rich segments in fintech. This role is designed for a product leader who can reimagine international remittances, optimizing for speed, transparency, and cost-efficiency across multiple corridors.
You will lead the development of next-generation remittance platforms that seamlessly connect senders, recipients, banks, and digital wallets—while navigating regulatory complexity and liquidity challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a global product strategy for cross-border payments and remittance services
- Design systems supporting multi-currency transactions, FX conversion, and settlement optimization
- Build and scale low-cost remittance corridors, particularly across high-volume regions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement real-time tracking and transparency features
- Optimize FX pricing models and liquidity management strategies
- Ensure compliance with AML, sanctions screening, and cross-border regulatory requirements
- Monitor KPIs such as transaction speed, cost per transfer, corridor growth, and customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business, or Technology (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years in payments, remittances, or fintech product leadership
- Strong understanding of global payment networks and correspondent banking systems
- Experience managing multi-currency and cross-border transaction platforms
- Ability to align product strategy with regulatory and operational constraints
Preferred Expertise
- Experience with blockchain-based payment solutions
- Knowledge of SWIFT gpi and ISO 20022 standards
- Familiarity with emerging market remittance trends
- Strong analytical and commercial decision-making skills
