Role Overview
This role represents a senior-most architectural mandate within a large-scale digital finance ecosystem designed to operate at international standards of resilience, scalability, and regulatory interoperability. The Principal Digital Payments & Financial Infrastructure Architect will lead the conceptualization, design, and long-term evolution of complex, multi-rail payment infrastructures spanning real-time payments, cross-border settlement layers, API-driven financial services, and institutional-grade transaction orchestration frameworks.
Operating remotely while aligned to Saudi Arabia’s rapidly advancing digital financial environment, the role requires deep fluency in global payments engineering, financial systems architecture, and international regulatory alignment, with continuous interaction across jurisdictions, payment schemes, and technology partners.
Key Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end payment infrastructures covering domestic, regional, and international transaction flows, including real-time settlement, batch clearing, and cross-border reconciliation models.

Design high-availability fintech platforms aligned with international operational benchmarks (ISO 20022 messaging, fault-tolerant system design, multi-region redundancy).

Lead the integration of banking rails, digital wallets, merchant acquiring systems, and institutional settlement frameworks within a unified architectural vision.

Define long-term technology roadmaps addressing scalability, transaction velocity, latency optimization, and regulatory extensibility.

Act as the senior technical authority on payment security models, transaction integrity, fraud prevention architecture, and data governance frameworks.

Required Expertise & Profile

12+ years of experience in fintech, financial infrastructure engineering, or large-scale payment systems.
